UltraPHOSx 3000 is a stabilized sodium aluminate built for one of the toughest moving targets in treatment: phosphorus. As effluent limits keep shrinking, it gives you a high-strength, dependable way to drive phosphorus down in municipal and industrial wastewater. Because it’s an alkaline aluminate rather than an acidic coagulant, it removes phosphorus while adding alkalinity instead of consuming it — so you spend less time chasing pH and supplemental caustic. The same chemistry works in lakes and ponds, binding excess phosphorus to help control the nutrient load that fuels algae.
Product Highlights
A concentrated sodium aluminate solution that targets phosphorus without depressing pH. Precipitates orthophosphate as aluminum phosphate for low, consistent effluent levels. Adds alkalinity rather than consuming it — ideal for low-alkalinity influent or plants already running alum or ferric. Used for phosphorus removal in municipal and industrial wastewater, and for nutrient control in lakes and ponds.
UltraPHOSx 3000 has extended stability, with a typical storage life of approximately six months, exceeding the industry norm for sodium aluminate products.
Industries & Uses
Tanks may be constructed of mild (carbon) steel, stainless steel, or fiberglass-reinforced plastic. Polyethylene tanks rated for the solution’s alkalinity have also been used. Schedule 80 PVC, CPVC, or lined steel piping is suitable. Avoid aluminum, copper, brass, zinc, and galvanized materials, which are attacked by the alkaline solution.
