Aluminum Sulfate is an aqueous solution manufactured by dissolving alumina trihydrate (ATH) into water and sulfuric acid. The use of only stringently selected raw materials and state-of-the-art manufacturing practices ensures that it is of the highest quality. It meets the specifications of the American Water Works Association Standard B403-24 and complies with the requirements of NSF/ANSI/CAN 60: Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals – Health Effects at a maximum dosage of 150 mg/L.
Product Highlights
Drinking water – removal of suspended matter. Wastewater treatment – coagulant / flocculent for the removal of suspended matter and phosphorus. Pulp and paper manufacturing – retention and drainage aid, charge neutralization, pH control, improved sizing efficiency. Food industry – firming agent in pickle rocessing. Used in leather tanning and fur dressing, in metallurgy in the pickling of metals, as an ionic scavenger in paper manufacturing, in textiles as a mordant in dyeing, and in water treatment as a primary coagulate for the removal of turbidity, color, suspended solids, heavy metals, and phosphorus.
Industries & Uses
Tanks may be constructed of fiberglass/epoxy, or lined steel. Polypropylene or polyethylene tanks have also been used. Schedule 80 PVC or polymer lined piping can be used. Glass reinforced plastic or hard rubber are also suitable materials for piping.
