Baltimore is where Usalco began, and it’s still where we do our most ambitious work. In 2011, we joined forces with Delta Chemical, a fellow Baltimore family business with a long history in aluminum-based water treatment chemistry. Since then, we’ve built this site into our flagship and largest manufacturing operation. In 2023, we opened a new Research and Technology Center at the site — a $4 million investment with room for up to 19 skilled technical jobs.

From here, we manufacture the high-performance coagulants and specialty chemistries that help purify drinking water and treat wastewater across the Mid-Atlantic and beyond. Our Baltimore team anchors a national network that helps supply clean water to more than 100 million Americans, including some of the country’s largest cities. Those same solutions clean water from industry, readying it to return safely to the environment.

Usalco proudly participates in the American Chemistry Council (ACC) Responsible Care® program, the chemical industry’s leading safety and sustainability initiative. The products produced at the Baltimore facility are NSF-certified for direct use in treating drinking water.
